Job Description: 
The Billing Support Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for Metis’ clients throughout the setup process and beyond. This role is vital in managing client communications, handling E-faxes, and assisting with various front office tasks. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Import charges, apply and post co-payments and adjustments with a minimum of 96% accuracy. 
  • Input demographics and select appropriate insurance during charge importing. 
  • Rename, sort, and file incoming client E-faxes (schedules & EOB’s) on the P: drive. 
  • Organize and batch client EOB Zero’s & Correspondence. 
  • Identify & post private pays for all locations. 
  • Update imported charge log for Coders and Account Representatives. 
  • Process incoming/outgoing mail and collections certified mail. 
  • Retrieve medical records for specialist appeals and register inpatient surgeons. 
  • Maintain and update client schedules on the P: drive; communicate any discrepancies. 
  • Complete various clerical tasks and provide exemplary customer service. 
  • Act as a point of contact for clients post go-live setup. 
  • Support front office tasks for clients, including insurance, transactions, and scheduling. 
  • Manage and assist with client office insurance changes and passwords. 
  • Create and update Excel insurance login sheets for SmartCare providers. 
Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 6-months billing experience. 
  • 2+ years of billing experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of insurance guidelines (HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid) 
  • Proficiency with Allscripts, NextGen, EPIC preferred.
  • Familiarity with CPT/ICD/HCPS coding and medical terminology. 
  • HIPPA regulations awareness. 
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills. 
  • Proficiency in computer systems, software, and 10 key calculators. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Patient and calm demeanor, high level of customer service. 
  • Teamwork capabilities and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Problem-solving abilities for discrepancies, denials, appeals, collections. 
  • Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to company policies. 
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
