San Diego Critical Care Medical Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Neurohospitalist to join our team of medical professionals. As a Neurohospitalist, you will provide expert care for patients with neurological conditions who require hospitalization. You will work closely with other physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care during their hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions in hospitalized patients, including but not limited to stroke, seizures, and neuromuscular disorders.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including MRI, CT scan, and EEG.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments and adjust them as necessary.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on neurological conditions, treatments, and post-hospital care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities.

 

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree and board certification in Neurology
  • Completion of a Neurohospitalist fellowship or equivalent experience
  • Active medical license and in good standing with the medical board
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
