The Practice Supervisor’s role supports our business by effectively working with the Practice Manager to perform many leadership, organization and decision-making tasks to maintain and grow the medical practice they are assigned.

  • Establish and implement effective workplace procedures
  • Works with Practice Manager to complete practice assessments, identifying waste, problem areas, and compliance issues, ensuring practice policies and best practices are up to industry standards and government regulations
  • Works with the Practice Manager to assess and develop practice growth strategies, marketing and reputation management
  • Supervise daily practice operations
  • Monitor the inventory for medications and medical equipment and organize for resupply
  • Recruits, interviews, and hires candidates when needed, and conducts/coordinates all new hire training and orientations.
  • Interact with patients and address their complaints 
  • Coordinate/lead staff performance reviews
  • Collaborate with Physicians and Practice Manager to develop business strategies and patient services
  • Maintains practice employee records and ensures the filing system meets all required compliance standards.
  • Responsible for correcting and approving timecards for all practice team members.
  • Works with Practice Manager to uphold company policies and procedures by holding the staff accountable when violations are made.
  • Works with Practice Manager to develop procedures and policies relative to work performance, performance evaluations, and employee grievances.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of employee infractions, discipline, and coaching conversations.
  • Works with Practice Manager to counsel practice staff, evaluate performance, create clear plans for improvement, and schedule follow-up meetings to track overall progress.
  • Assures that all team members are providing good customer service consistently.
  • Must be able to work in different roles to cover gaps when another team member isn’t available. 
  • Complete various clerical tasks as required.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent certification required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of medical office management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with electronic practice management (EPM) electronic medical records(EMR) required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Windows required.

Annual Salary Range:

  • 70,000 - 95,000
