Employment Type: Full Time       

Typical Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm             

Hourly Range: $20.00-$22.00 (based on level of experience.)

This role involves direct patient care, including rooming patients, recording vitals, administering injections, and acting as a liaison between our physicians and patients. Essential Functions:             

  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.
  • Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention as instructed by healthcare providers.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, sanitation regulations, and infection control protocols.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with professionalism, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as managing medical supplies inventory and handling patient correspondence.

Competencies & Success Factors:             

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certificate is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing patient records and clinical tasks.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Ability to work overtime.
