San Diego Digestive Disease Consultants Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.     

Pay Range:   

  • $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Verify patient eligibility for appointments and procedures.
  • Gather and maintain accurate medical records for patient appointments.
  • Answer phone calls and assist patients with inquiries.
  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
  • Take vital signs and record patient information accurately.
  • Process referrals for medical procedures and specialists.
  • Complete prior authorizations for medications as required.
  • Collaborate 1:1 with healthcare providers to support patient care.
  • Cover other providers in the clinic, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Efficiently manage the total workflow, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and timely.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall functioning of the practice.

   

Qualifications:   

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program (Required)
  • 1 years as a medical assistant (Required)
  • Previous experience in a medical front and back office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and medical software applications.
  • Bilingual Spanish, strongly preferred
