Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Perinatal Sonographer to join our team in 2024. This role involves performing high-risk obstetric ultrasound examinations and procedures, creating detailed reports for physicians, and evaluating sonograms to identify or rule out anomalies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in OBGYN sonography and a passion for Women’s Health. Training may be available for qualified candidates to enhance their skills in high-risk obstetric sonography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-risk obstetric ultrasound examinations and procedures using established AIUM protocols.
- Inspect and review patient charts, medical history, ultrasound reports, and/or lab results.
- Create detailed reports to assist the physician with documentation.
- Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule out patient/fetus anomalies.
- Communicate sonographic findings to the physician.
- Provide visual sonographic guidance for successful amniocentesis or CVS procedures.
- Report machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery.
- Restock sonography rooms with required supplies.
- Increase knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers.
Qualifications:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - OB/GYN - required
- Fetal Echo Certification is preferred
- 1+ years of high-risk OB and/or MFM sonography experience
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
