Responsibilities 
 
Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Technical Support Intern to join the IT team. This role allows interns to gain experience by receiving formal industry training alongside an established mentor and providing hands-on diagnostic support to employees. The Technical Support Intern will focus on working with the IT team to set up a diverse range of employee software and technology and resolving Service Desk requests. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills. 
  • Provide first-level support analysis and diagnostics to resolve service desk requests 
  • Assist in technology troubleshooting and setup for employee PC hardware, email, phones, printers and copiers, software installations and more 
  • Create new employee accounts and deploy them to end users 
  • Work directly with IT staff and end users to diagnose and resolve issues with proprietary applications, third-party software and employee equipment 
  • Troubleshoot both hardware and software issues 
  • PowerShell scripting to automate various processes 
  • Other duties as assigned which might include lending IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, system administration, analytics, and asset management. 
Qualifications
  • Graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026 
  • Internship runs 6/2/25 through 8/8/25 
  • GPA of 3.0 and above 
  • Pursing a degree in Information Technology, MIS or Business Administration 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize work effectively to ensure internal timelines are met 
  • Basic desktop troubleshooting knowledge 
  • Analytical with strong project management and problem-solving skills 
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with others 
  • Ability to lift and relocate end-user computing devices up to 40 lbs. 
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment 
  • Preferred but not required qualifications include: 
    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite 
    • Working knowledge of Windows 10
