Responsibilities
Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for an UX Designer to join the Information Technology team. This role must be able to perform the following tasks, among others:
- Translates concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Facilitate customer's product visions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital and print products.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces, identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and integrate designs.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Develop graphics and visual or audio images for product illustrations, logos, and websites
- Advise clients on strategies to reach a particular audience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphics Design or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of UX experience in business application design, development, installation and modification in an IT
- Experience with design, development, and implementation of new computing architectures
- Strong skills in overall user interface design of web and mobile systems
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to act as technical lead on complex projects
- Strong ability to accurately estimate project development activities
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with customers and other technical staff
- A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystem and usability and accessibility concerns
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas and solutions to teams and clients
- A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design
- Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
