Responsibilities

Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Human Resources Benefits Specialist to join the HR team. This role is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, and 401k plan. An ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of employee benefits and Human Resources.

  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
  • Performs quality audits of monthly benefits bills and benefits-related data
  • Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
  • Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility
  • Assists with employee changes and processes life status changes
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
  • Assists with the administration of all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
  • Assists with Wellness initiatives
  • Assists with the open enrollment process
  • Assists with ACA compliance and filings
  • Administers our AAA benefit
  • Coordinate 401k trainings and rollovers
  • Monitor and complete compliance reporting deadlines
  • Performs other related duties and projects as required and assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in HR and/or benefits administration
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach
  • Strong attention to detail
