Responsibilities

RTS Financial is looking for an Underwriting Specialist. This role is responsible for underwriting new prospects and completing risk analysis and due diligence on existing customers.  The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and organized self-starter with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • Perform legal research on UCC filings, judgments, liens, and tax obligations
  • File UCC-1 Financing Statements and amendments
  • Maintain quality standards and confidentiality on all projects, client, and company matters
  • Analyze corporate documents such as bylaws, articles, and operating agreements
  • Assist with corporate governance, secretarial duties, real estate matters, risk management, legal support, etc.
  • Complete risk analysis and full due diligence review on existing customers and prospects
  • Develop and implement processes to support document controls and safeguards
  • Develop working knowledge of various business operations in other countries
  • Detect and resolve issues involving account irregularities
  • Partner in developing strategies to achieve company growth
  • Work to keep all parties (leadership/sales/operations) apprised of progress and/or issues
  • With training, review agreements, and revise as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Detail-oriented and able to use critical thinking to determine a larger issue
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to constantly changing priorities
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
