Responsibilities
Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join the HR team. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing employee offboarding for all business locations, ensuring a successful transition. This role assists the HR team with system updates and is a resource for general employee questions. An ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills and a high level of detail, while remaining flexible, proactive, and resourceful. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead exit interviews for employees while gathering beneficial and accurate feedback
- Required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances, including assisting with terminations of employment
- Interact and professionally communicate with employees and staff of all levels
- Perform quality audits of employee files emphasizing proper documentation is recorded in a timely manner
- Coordinate the timeline of employee exit interviews while communicating with management
- Effectively communicate and answer benefit and pay inquiries regarding separation of employment
- Prepare, audit, and mail separation paperwork, ensuring proper data is reflected
- Record employee reporting changes while monitoring HR’s ticketing system
- Respond to general employee questions and direct questions to the proper channels as necessary
- Assist with reporting trends for both department and company-wide separations
- Properly offboard employees and record benefit end dates in our HRIS system
- Communicate pay timeframes, PTO payouts, and bonus repayments to payroll
- Work with third-party vendors and payroll to coordinate the FMLA process as it pertains to leaves
- Coordinate and monitor employee time off such as Bereavement, Jury Duty, and Military leaves
- Assist with employee state and department transfers and tracking
- Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion regarding all company-related sensitive information
- Assists with daily filing both manually and electronically to maintain organizational standards
- Perform other related duties and projects as required and assigned
Qualifications
- Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- General knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to convey a professional and positive image and attitude
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Meticulous attention to detail
Education and Experience
- BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in HR will be a plus
- 2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or relevant human resources/administrative position
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment
