Responsibilities  
  
Ryan Transportation and Shamrock Trading Corporation are seeking a highly skilled TMS (Transportation Management System) Administrator to oversee, optimize, and maintain our TMS platform. This role is critical in ensuring seamless system functionality, data integrity, and user support to enhance operational efficiency and logistics performance. Additionally, the TMS System Administrator will play a key role in reporting and data analysis, using Excel and BI tools to generate insights that drive smarter decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation technology, system configurations, troubleshooting, and data-driven process improvements. 
  • System Administration & Optimization
    • Manage the day-to-day operation, configuration, and maintenance of the TMS platform.
    • Troubleshoot system issues, ensure uptime, and coordinate with vendors for updates and enhancements.
    • Optimize workflows within the TMS to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Monitor data integrity and compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • User Support & Training 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for TMS-related support, resolving user issues efficiently. 
    • Develop training materials and conduct sessions for internal teams to ensure effective system use. 
    • Maintain user roles, permissions, and access controls to safeguard system integrity.
  • Integration & Process Improvement  
    • Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to integrate the TMS with ERP, WMS, and other logistics systems. 
    • Work with stakeholders to automate processes and enhance reporting capabilities. 
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains, and improved visibility across the supply chain. 
    • Analyze client freight spend, transit times, and service levels to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. 
    • Assist in system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
    Qualifications  
    • Experience administering a TMS (e.g., MercuryGate, BluJay, SAP TM, Oracle TMS, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of transportation and logistics operations.
    • Experience with EDI/API integrations and data mapping.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for reporting and data analysis.
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work with vendors to resolve system bugs.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and support users at all levels.
    • Strong analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
    • Project management experience is a plus.
