Human Resource Specialist
Description
Although located at the SEWS Bowling Green Corporate Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least three days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
BASIC PURPOSE:
This position provides corporate-level support for a variety of Human Resources and Regulatory functions including Human Resources, Safety, Wellness and EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety).
BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with Safety, EHS, and Wellness initiatives
- Supports the General Manager of HR and Regulatory Affairs in HR investigations, associate relations matters and compliance
- Maintains accurate and organized HR & Regulatory records and documentation
- Assists with internal communication efforts including HR updates, newsletters and employee engagement materials
- Provides support to HR Managers at various U.S. locations, as directed by the General Manager
- Supports the administration and daily operational needs of the Corporate Office building
- Helps manage and maintain SmartSheet applications and dashboards for various Corporate HR and Compliance functions
- Participates in cross-functional projects and activities that enhance corporate culture and compliance
- Other duties as assigned
- Up to 5% travel annually
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business, HR, or Safety, along with 1 – 3 years of professional experience in related fields.
- Ability to manage projects, collect data and track progress.
- Excellent computer, analytical, written and verbal communication skills including public speaking experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications required and SmartSheets preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
