SEWS - Ohio Customer Service Center (Marysville, OH)
BASIC PURPOSE:
- Coordination and monitoring of quality activities at the assigned Honda Manufacturing Locations for all SEWS products under the guidance of the Quality Engineer assigned to those locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows up all requests with the responsible SEWS personnel and the customer that initiated the contact.
- Collects quality information at the customer facility to establish proper quality standards by patrolling customer processes and discovering areas of improvement to prevent customer claims.
- Assists in tracking and approvals of all IPPAARS and IPP tags for assigned customer facilities. Acts as the interface for New Model development between assigned customer facility Quality Assurance personnel and SEWS.
- When a customer claim or complaint is received, investigates the details of the actual facts and documents the customer claim. Immediately takes appropriate steps to sort or rework stock at customer location. Assists in creating counter measures to prevent flow out. Assists in tracking the sorted reworked parts. Confirms SEWS plant’s counter measure at OCSC and at the customer line.
- Initiates the investigation of the quality of inventory at OCSC to determine if this inventory needs to be sorted. Notifies the responsible warehouse associate on the status of suspect material.
- Trains the manpower that will perform the actual sorting or rework at customer location and at customer service center. Monitors sort or rework operation to assure that the flow out to the customer is prevented. Coordinates the movement of material to assure that lot control is maintained and the material is correctly identified for proper delivery.
- Maintains and organizes all quality related documents and engineering documents. Creates daily reports on all activities and distributes these to SEWS organization. Maintains all logs and documentation to support procedures for quality activity at OCSC.
- For customer visits by personnel from the Honda customer locations, coordinate the details of the visit with SEWS location and other appropriate groups. Serve as the host to accompany these visitors to the SEWS facility being visited.
- Confirms SEWS plant’s countermeasures at OCSC and at the customer line.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Graduate with some college preferred
- 5 or more years’ experience
- Requires strong communication; written and verbal
- Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
