Job Title: Deputy COMSATCOM Program Manager

 

Manage daily initiation, planning, execution, and closure of projects and tasks supporting the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Global Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) network contract. Position reports to the SOF Global COMSATCOM network Program Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities

    Responsible for the daily execution of specific tasks or projects within the SOF Global COMSATCOM network program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines

    Manage daily planning, tracking, and execution of project tasks in support of contract requirements to ensure cost, schedule, and performance goals are met.

    Participate as a member of a program office team consisting of project engineers, project analysts, and procurement specialists.

    Participate in bid and proposal activities.

    Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute projects and tasks.

    Report project status to the program manager on a weekly basis.

    Manage operations to ensure schedules are met and deliverables meet quality standards.

    Organize project and task workloads and select individuals most qualified for specific projects.

    Contribute to the client relationship.

    Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.

    Additional Project Management duties and tasks as assigned by the Director, Programs.

 

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree with technical training and 5+ years functional or project management experience (or a combination of education and experience)

    Minimum of three years of SOF experience.

    Experience leading technical teams in achieving short and long term objectives.

    Knowledge of project management tools and procedures.

    Excellent customer interface and teamwork skills.

    Solid problem solving skills.

    Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written communications.

    Successful track record in managing complex projects.

    PMP certification -- not required, but a potential discriminator.

    Active TS/SCI clearance.
