PA&R stands for Performance Analytics and Reporting; this business unit focuses on building out our reporting capability, that runs across the entire platform. Not only this, but we also leverage machine learning to offer predictive analytics capability so that the customer using the Now Platform can effectively analyse the efficiency of their workflows and forecast future trends. As a core part of our platform capability, this team has a huge opportunity for innovation and growth.  

As a Senior Director Engineering for PA&R you will... 

  • Lead core engineering team of 30 developers split between Amsterdam and India.  
  • Mentor and develop the team to achieve consistent high performance, define and effectively convey the vision and ensure moral and the culture of the team are upheld.  
  • Work with global talent to source and hire senior Developers or Architect level talent into the team. 
  • Deliver world class analytics and reporting features over multiple releases. 
  • Work with the global product, design and platform teams to define the technical roadmap of the product.   
  • Collaborate with the product and customer success teams to ensure deep adoption and full customer satisfaction 
  • Similarly, partner closely with QA teams to ensure the quality of the code, and the cohesion of the scrum teams. 
  • Potentially as we grow, you may assist in future M&A integrations. 
  • Travel to the US and India once per quarter.  

We are looking for... 

  • Significant experience in a technical leadership role, ideally managing large teams of developers.  
  • Exceptional people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop.  
  • Ideally, skills managing teams across multiple geographies. 
  • Strong leadership capabilities and knowledge of how to collaborate with other senior leaders. 
  • Strong knowledge of working on product development as opposed to a service delivery.  
  • Experience working on a BI, visualisation or analytics product would be highly advantageous.  
  • Experience from working in a global, business to business technology organisation 
  • Previous exposure of working with product management to convert the asks into deliverable stories. 
  • Previous exposure of working with release management, and the DevOps process to release products and patches. 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
