Solution Architect – HR Systems

Location: Santa Clara, CA

We are seeking a seasoned end to end solution architect with expertise that includes integrating HR strategies and programs, implementing and optimizing HR systems and processes – especially Talent Acquisition (TA) – platforms, being a change agent, and developing HR data management practices. The role will reside within the IT Digital Talent Experience team and will provide global solution architect services to our. HR teams to help accelerate execution across large-scale, strategic initiatives that improve our operational capabilities, the employee experience, and/or reduce cost-to-serve.

The successful individual in this role will work collaboratively with HR Centers of Excellence teams, IT business analysts, program delivery managers, and operations teams to ensure all strategic programs are architected with a clear understanding of dependencies, connections, and risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather required data and synthesize information highlighting associated risks and changes needed for success to the various program owners and key stakeholders to drive a truly integrated roadmap
  • Help facilitate decisions based on a deep understanding of how a process or system change in TA may affect other processes, systems or people and promote approaches to identify a shared purpose from multiple stakeholders
  • Provide direction on integrating enterprise TA strategies by identifying opportunities, dependencies, risks, connections, and leverage points across planned initiatives
  • Apply a system mindset to all TA initiatives to architect an overall implementation and change management plan that accounts for all the interdependencies and opportunities
  • Anticipate business needs and present possible directions and future strategies for the team to consider through research and innovation methods
  • Understand best practices and analyze emerging trends in the industry to serve as a thought leader, to influence and develop scalable strategies, frameworks, and programs
  • Drive consistent use of common employee related data fields across TA and downstream systems and provide guidance and expertise on data validation at the point of entry to enhance data quality, and drive adoption of best practices
  • Partner with IT Enterprise Architecture team in developing a technology framework that delivers business capability
  • Work with program managers and business analysts on identifying issues / risks and required mitigation to ensure delivery of end-to-end strategic design
  • Successfully communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale to executive stakeholders
  • Act as the solution wide functional subject matter expert embedded within a larger delivery team

Requirements: Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or equivalent; Master's degree is a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in HR or TA systems, transformation and large global projects
  • Experience with driving continuous improvement across global technology and processes
  • Experience implementing, managing, and supporting HR or TA systems and support and/or HR business or consulting experience
  • Experience managing highly-complex projects independently that cross multiple business units, divisions, functions, and regions
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and system design architecture as it impacts business processes and interdependencies
  • Experience communicating design rationale clearly and concisely and build consensus / relationships in a matrix environment
