Cloud Service Engineering is the org, which takes care of all Cloud Engineering needs of ServiceNow. Within that CloudX is the team which focuses on futuristic technologies and provides products and solutions for the next phase of ServiceNow growth.
The ServiceNow Cloud Service Engineering team is responsible for all aspects of Cloud Infrastructure through zero-touch, Intelligent automation. We are looking for a staff engineer (technology architect) to guide and take us to the next level of Cloud infra scale, performance and reliability through innovations and efficient leverage of emerging technologies in the Cloud Engineering space. This is a very strategic position for our organization. As a Staff Engineer in ServiceNow’s CloudX team you will be in a position to try / evaluate / decide on right technology stack and implement furturistic innovative solutions for the ServiceNow Cloud, Lead cloud infra innovation, influence product direction, define architecture and ensure quality of product at scale.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for offering technology leadership to a team of engineer – working on in the design and development of next generation of cloud infra platform and automations. You will lead by example on solving tough technical challenges and complex business problems in a high energy, startup like environment with exemplary senior techies, industry leaders and with a highly collaborative team.
This role will require you to interface with (primarily architects & senior engineers) from various internal departments, understand their business needs, technology alignment and deliver highly reliable and easy to use solutions that enhances business efficiency. The successful candidate will have an established background and is currently hands-on in developing mission critical software solutions. The ideal candidate must have excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- Deep understanding of distributed computing systems.
- Deep experience / exposure in public cloud (Azure, AWS).
- Hands on expert level understanding of containerization & related technologies
(like: Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
- Strong in algorithms & data structures.
- Problem solving and disambiguation.
- Hands on coding and very good at system design
- Java & object-oriented technologies
- Large scale systems exposure
we need someone who has:
- B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.S./M.Tech. from Computer Science, Electronics and Communications and Electrical Engineering fields with excellent academic record
- delivering high quality enterprise ready software within a global setup.
- Experience with Cloud Application Development Platforms will be a big plus.
