Public Relations and Social Media Intern

Your Impact

  • As the Public Relations and Social Media Intern, you will work partner with members of the broader Communications organization, specifically the Corporate Communications and Social Media teams. In this role, you will be focused on bringing the ServiceNow story to life across a variety of channels and will take part in several cross-functional projects, working alongside decision-makers in our business. You will end your internship with a good understanding of the various functions within a corporate communications department and experience across many of them

Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Identifying story angles for both internal and external audiences that focus on ServiceNow’s product, corporate, and executive visibility programs.
  • Gaining exposure and interacting with PR Agency partners.
  • Partnering with the PR team to develop media pitches, draft press releases, and participate in sourcing sessions with executives.
  • Partnering with social media team, bringing new story ideas to the table each week and execute on social activations or employee stories.
  • Supporting social strategists with content curation, distribution and engagement. Participating in web and social listening and provide real-time monitoring of social channels to identify strategic opportunities and flag potential issues. 
  • Taking on ad-hoc projects that help showcase how ServiceNow is “making the world of work, work better for people.”
  • Using your people skills to partner across the extended communications team.
  • Helping to organize, maintain and manage PR tools, such as calendars, media lists, etc.

  

Employee Communications & Talent Brand Intern

Your Impact

  • As the Employee Communications & Talent Brand intern, you will have a rare opportunity to help us tell our company story to a global employee audience. Learn from a creative, dynamic team in employee communications, feed your passion for storytelling, figure out new and exciting ways to engage different audiences, and see what an exciting career in corporate communications looks like!

Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Creating a wide range of thoughtful, innovative and engaging content based on employee stories, to be used for internal campaigns that drive engagement and awareness for company initiatives, as well as external campaigns designed to attract top talent.
  • Organizing photo and/or video shoots to accompany employee stories.
  • Participating in project teams that aim to activate our employees via social media, including internal campaigns and enablement training sessions.
  • Creating and organizing content for internal stakeholders to act as extension of our Talent Brand
  • Assisting in the maintenance of internal social channels to support influencer identification, channel analytics, content performance and more.
  • Using your people skills to partner across the extended communications team.


What we’re looking for

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (or higher) and graduating after December 2020, and majoring in Media, Public Relations, Marketing, CommunicationsExcellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and presentation skills 
  • Superb written and visual storytelling and editing skills
  • Good emotional intelligence, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
  • Team-orientation -- An eagerness to help work on projects and collaborate with others
  • A passion for ServiceNow’s purpose, promise and global impact
  • Motivated, creative problem-solving in a fast-paced environment; excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Quick, yet thoughtful and decision-making skills: knows when to ask questions, when to act, when to escalate, and when to ask for help
  • A focus on results: you get things done by actively following up with your partners to make sure that you’re all on track with the project while proactively keeping everyone in the loop on progress

  • (Preferably) a rising junior/senior who is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Media, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications
