ServiceNow is looking for an Outbound Product Manager to collaborate with the rest of the ITSM Product Management team to understand which products and features are coming out each release and then define the most relevant and impactful problems these solve. The ideal candidate can empathize with customers and implement technical solutions to their problems. This role will need to configure a ServiceNow instance to showcase the outcomes delivered by our product.


To Be Successful In This Role

  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering to translate upcoming functions and features into outcome-based narratives
  • Engage with Sales and Marketing to understand which problems customers and prospects most often look to ServiceNow to solve
  • Communicate which problems the product(s) can solve
  • Work directly with customers to capture their expectations, preferences and aversions in a “Voice of the Customer”
  • Use data gathered from Product Managers, Sales, Customers, and Marketing, to build and configure demos to showcase ServiceNow’s ITSM solution
  • Collaborate with other product teams to develop demos that showcase non-product specific outcomes
  • Create narrative driven scripts for different types of demos then configure the instance to tell those stories
  • Understand and represent different personas the demo scripts. Plan and create base demos to solve specific personas’ problems, end to end
  • Have advanced working technical knowledge of the ServiceNow platform
  • Ensure the Pre-Sales teams have working demos




  • Advanced technical understanding of the Now Platform
  • Plan and create base demos and scripts
  • Narrative based writing
  • Comfortable with creative, collaborative, sometimes independent, and unstructured work
  • Deliver in an Agile environment
  • Finalize and test product tracks
  • Compatibility and regression testing
  • Triage and work incidents against your configurations
  • Create, deploy, and troubleshoot update sets
  • Monitor and follow up on ongoing incidents
  • Maintain integrity of data within demos (for example, update dates to be current and make sense on dashboards, ensure “demo data” is relevant and does not reference outdated technology, etc.)
  • Create supporting documents for demos like solution records, overview, details, release notes, and presentations


Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience
  • 5+ years of experience with technology products
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive demonstration experience covering technical and value needs
  • Natural empathy for and understanding of needs of customers across multiple types
  • The ability to generate ideas for how our products can make our customers and partners more successful
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology
  • Must enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment
  • Extensive knowledge of the ServiceNow ITSM Product and the NOW Platform
  • Exceptional communication skills to include technical and business concepts
  • Very strong written communication skills
  • Demonstrated being proactive without being told what to do
  • Ability to prioritize task and be efficient to minimize wasted effort
  • Proven ability to live up to commitments while maintaining integrity and focus on details
  • Thinks strategically, fast-learning and communicates with impact
  • English - fluent
