Senior Application Developer, Training and Certification

What you get to do in this role: 

ServiceNow Training and Certification Operations team is looking for a Senior Application Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for development on the ServiceNow instance stack that runs our entire customer and partner training business supporting delivery and sales that serves over 50,000 students globally every year. You will be part of a small development team within the organization that is responsible for building, enhancing, innovating the way we do business and serve our customers with a focus on operational excellence, automation, and customer experience.

  • Design solutions that maximize scalability, maintainability, and system integrity
  • Work with the program manager to establish governance and security controls to maintain system integrity and predictability
  • Develop and maintain models and documentation for solution design, administration, and operations
  • Serve as 2nd level support for issues related to the platform environment
  • Lead all technical aspects of project delivery and solution delivery
  • Design and implement application UI Configuration
  • Process automation solution implementation
  • Development of required client specific reporting
  • Development of requirement integration components
  • Develop and maintain test plans to validate critical application / system functionality
  • Serve as 2nd level support for issues related to the platform environment

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has: 

  • 3-5 years minimum experience implementing or development on ServiceNow as a technical resource
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), or related field
  • Experience with JavaScript, writing, debugging and improving existing code
  • Excellent communication & customer skills, problem solving, time management skills required
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Able to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Certifications
    • Required: CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM
    • Preferred: CIS-CSM
