The role:

Semperis is looking for a highly motivated, dedicated, organized, and experienced Bookkeeper and Payroll Controller to operate as the sole function in the Israeli entity. This role is critical to the successful establishment of the finance department and the company’s success.



  • Full service, end-to-end bookkeeping, and payroll in a high-growth, fast-paced global SaaS company.
  • Responsible for monthly trial balance close for the Israel entity, including but not limited to bank and credit card reconciliation, posting of journal entries, fixed assets register management, month-end accruals, and preparing supporting close package working papers.
  • Take a key role in the successful Netsuite system integration and implementation, shifting all the bookkeeping and payroll activities in-house, working closely with the Netsuite providers and the outsourced bookkeeper.
  • Manage and process payroll for all Israeli employees
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable cycles
  • Reporting to governmental authorities, including tax, social security, and VAT
  • Assist and support in audit processes.
  • This role reports to the local legal entity’s Controller.




  • At least 15 years of experience with a type 2 certification.


  • At least 10 years of experience after graduating with Type 3 certification.
  • Experience with monthly payroll processes
  • Experience working with NetSuite is a MUST. Experience integrating Netsuite and shifting bookkeeping and payroll processes in-house will consider a big advantage.
  • Experience working in a startup environment- Big Advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills, “can-do” approach, and ownership attitude.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High MS Office proficiency, especially with excel functions.
  • Advanced level English, both spoken and written.
  • Team player with a service-oriented approach
