Administrative - Clerical Cape Girardeau, Missouri Infusion Services Full-Time


Day Shift

Perform clinical and administrative duties under the direction of the Nurse Manager and RN’s. Clinical duties may include rooming patients for their visits, taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, medication reconciliation, preparing patients for examinations, and other types of screenings as necessary. Administrative duties may include answering phones, scanning records into the EMR, faxing, scheduling appointments, and other types of administrative duties as needed

  • Transports patients to and from Belonging to infusion bays or procedure rooms and prepares them for the physician
  • Interviews patients to obtain medical history, and current medication list, measures vital signs, weight and height
  • Files information into the medical record as needed
  • Prepares infusion bays, keeping department neat, clean and stocked with supplies.
  • Wipes down all patient care surfaces after each visit if skin to surface contact was made. Daily if no skin to surface contact was made, with purple top wipes or bleach wipes
  • Assist patients needing ambulatory assistance as necessary
  • Disposes of contaminated supplies and or bio-hazardous waste according to hospital policy.
  • Maintains the correct inventory of patient care supplies in the department, confirming that no supplies are expired
  • Assists with answering the multi-line phone system as needed
  • Will operate other office automation equipment (i.e. scanner, fax, printer and copier)
  • Will be responsible for compliance of TJC and office practice standards
  • Will develop an understanding of how to operate MOSAIQ and other EMR systems as required
  • Participates in community and professional organizations related to areas of expertise – RN’s & LPN’s (Office Nurse) minimum of three per year. All other staff are required to participate in two per year
  • Perform other job duties as requested by the Provider, Clinic RN’s, or Office Manager

  • Minimum of high school education or equivalent required
  • Prior experience as a CNA or other medical related field is desirable
  • Business classes or business office experience preferred
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be detail orientated and possess good organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
