Day Shift

Duties include security strategy, infrastructure architecture, project planning and implementation of systems in accordance with the department standards and IT Strategic plan. Other duties include ensuring integrity of all corporate data residing on network servers, including identifying and remediating security risks, identifying/developing the application and maintenance of proper IT and network standards across the enterprise. The incumbent is responsible for the overall management and direction for the information security and disaster recovery functions

Begin 

  • Serve as team lead, primary network architect, & mentor to the infrastructure team
  • Identifies and meets SLA requirements for networks and applications.
  • Knowledgeable of emerging technologies and the potential utilization/application
  • Establishes and maintain effective relationships with staff members, customers, and vendors
  • Develop, provide and maintain necessary documentation for all applications and systems
  • Manage monitoring applications using related monitoring tools; proactively address anomalies

  • This position will occasionally require additional work hours (above 40 hrs. per week or 8 hrs. per day) including mandatory on-call support coverage as necessary including 24 x 7 on-call support
  • Participates in IT department, team, user group and technology governance meetings
  • Serves as lead or participant on projects as assigned
  • Supports & champions IT strategy, mission, policies & standard operating procedures
  • Maintains appropriate system documentation in ticketing and/or project tracking systems in accordance to department standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of security and privacy technologies and best practices, as well as, knowledge of appropriate security methods and controls, and IT security privacy legislation and related policy issues
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive IT security program management and disaster recovery and IT continuity tactical and operational plans
  • Work closely with both IT leadership and external contacts to review security related issues
  • Conduct and lead periodic audits of IT security and PHI access – providing reports to management and organization staff
  • Serve as a liaison between the IT and other departments as required
  • Serve on security committees identifying areas of risk and creating a cohesive strategic plan to mitigate and reduce those risks
  • Provide risk guidance for IT projects and recommendations for controls
  • Build an effective relationships with stakeholders and remain educated on business priorities as it relates to the corporate risk profile
  • Leads organizational wide effort to provide security related training and education
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor policies and procedures relating to securing data and resources
  • Monitor, maintain and audit centralized logging for IDS, IPS, firewalls, filters and all VPN access to secured network
  • Design, implement, configure, and monitor firewalls, IDS, and VPN connections
  • Implement and maintain anti-virus, anti-malware, and anti-spam systems and policies
  • Manage and monitor all networking systems and projects including voice/data circuit installation and operation, QoS initiatives, Windows networking and IP based services, including DNS and DHCP
  • Utilize software and hardware diagnostic tools to identify, diagnose and repair complex problems and factors affecting network performance
  • Develop network documentation, including diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures, and work instructions for peers to follow
  • Design, support, maintain and troubleshoot a wireless environment, both public and private
  • Proactively monitor and maintain all networking and server equipment to produce the highest available uptime
  • Review and recommend IT infrastructure changes, updates and enhancements
  • Create and maintain all IT infrastructure documentations and diagrams – using best practices to reconfigure the network for maximum performance within budget constraints

Virtualization Emphasis

  • Design, deploy, manage, and maintain desktop virtual pools
  • Utilize management software to maintain zero client firmware levels and related settings
  • Manage and build SSO and deploy single sign-on applications
  • Plan, monitor, maintain and grow all aspects of the organization’s virtual infrastructure

Systems Emphasis

  • Administer Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy environment
  • Plan & implement upgrades to E-mail systems including Exchange environments
  • Oversee Patch Management, Software Distribution, and Client Imaging
  • Provide support to all SQL versions and Oracle Databases
  • Support & Implementation of third-party applications
  • Lead anti-virus and SPAM prevention and management
  • Work with multiple operating systems; multiple LANs; patch management; OS migration
  • Implement and maintain system wide patch management

Storage Emphasis

  • Monitor, maintain, and deploy OS, database, and VM based backup solutions, Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage including FCoE
  • Monitor and maintain EMC archival storage including replication
  • Deploy and maintain NAS and CIFS
  • Manage and deploy archiving software solutions

Telephony Emphasis

  • Develop, maintain, and document the systems site codes and dial plans.
  • Maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot T38 and G711 SIP faxing.
  • Integrate and migrate from legacy digital and analog systems.
  • Develop, implement, and test site recovery, 911 services, and disaster recovery.

Become 
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Security or related field or equivalent experience; IT related Masters’ degree preferred
  • 10+ years of proven experience and demonstrated success in technology leadership with emphasis on information security, infrastructure services, portfolio management or business systems
  • Ten years of IT experience supporting a medium to large sized company with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong, management level oral and written communication skills with ability to understand technology sufficiently to clearly communicate the complexity in simple terms for key stakeholders
  • Attain and maintain relevant Security+, CISSP or equivalent, Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare or EMC technical certifications
  • Experience with multiple technologies, including Cisco, EMC, Microsoft, and VMWare
  • Experience in a healthcare is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple, complex technology projects and leading project teams
