Seagen is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead HR projects and strategic initiatives. The Senior Manager Project Management is responsible for leading and executing on cross-functional HR Initiatives. Examples include Project Management (PM) driving forward key strategic HR goals around process, technology, and people. Besides managing significant work such as this, they will also provide PM support for other, more established work but just as critical to our employees and stakeholders such as the annual performance management cycle, open enrollment, and our bi-annual compensation processes. This role will help to ensure Centers of Excellence (COEs) and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) can focus on their core work while also supporting the HR Leadership Team (HRLT) in moving forward towards their vision of creating an empowered and fulfilled workforce through an empowered and fulfilled HR team.  
Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Independently drive key initiatives that touch multiple parts of HR. Own and manage the overall HR projects roadmap – owning and influencing plans, risks, and change management 
  • Regularly interact with members of the HRLT & other business leaders to confirm priorities and drive decision making and execution 
  • Project manage annual cross-functional initiatives such as the performance management and compensation processes and budgeting exercise. Develop and execute work-backwards plans to ensure these key strategic deliverables are completed on time to high quality standards 
  • Support the transformation of HR by both tracking progress of the projects against the HR strategy and supporting the HRLT in driving improvements aligned with the strategy 
  • Project management: Lead projects; define project plans; measure project goals, manage stakeholders, scope, schedules, and expectations. Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders on commitments timelines and deliverables. Effectively prioritize competing projects for the team; understand when to escalate 
  • Coordinate communications for assigned projects across HR both internally and externally with employees 
  • Maintain HR operational calendar, including projects, goal milestones, training/curriculum, programs, and goal reviews 
  • Lead, manage and publish quarterly HR program / project reviews with HR leadership and cross-functional teams 
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy and discretion through ambiguous phases of project 
  • Manage the project budgets and partner with the functional leaders to execute within the scope and budget 
  • Act as a liaison for the functional lead and the external implementation vendors. Manage the escalation loop and report on any deviations which can impact the project performance 

Required Qualifications:  

  • A minimum of 8 years of HR and/or Project Management experience 
  • Must have experience in managing large scale change initiatives across different parts of HR 
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Experience in managing and documenting Business Reviews and Roadmaps 
  • Experience of taking end-to-end ownership and driving results; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or programs- work prioritization, planning, and coordination across teams 
  • Ability to effectively partner with different levels of the organization and across functions to achieve results 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and deliver high quality project plans and other related documentation 
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a positive work environment 
  • Solutions oriented approach to with demonstrated ability to balance HR and business objectives  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is preferred 
  • Experience with different HR technologies and having the knowledge to make recommendations for appropriate HR enabling technologies
