Summary: 

The Sr. Solutions Architect, Microsoft 365 (M365) focuses on technical and solution design for enterprise applications within the scope of Enterprise Knowledge Management capabilities at Seagen in support of the Corporate and Global IT long term and short-term strategies. You will be responsible for driving the continuous evolution of knowledge management technical solutions and capabilities, including but not limited to the M365 platform. You are a thought leader and a key contributor to the definition, design, and delivery of enterprise IT Services based on these KM technical solutions and capabilities. You will contribute to the Enterprise Knowledge Management Technical Solutions Strategy and Roadmap aligned with business priorities, the Global IT roadmap, and the roadmaps of the various KM solution partners. You will consult and contribute to technical implementation processes, policies, and procedures, and maintain internal and external relationships related to system, service, and technical aspects of EKM technical solutions and capabilities. You will enable and analyze key operational platform metrics to ensure our capabilities support enterprise business targets and objectives.   
 
Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Support EKM Leadership in investigating, evaluating, championing, and introducing fit-for-purpose enterprise KM technology, tools, products, capabilities, and best practices
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the EKM Technical Strategy and Roadmap under the direction of EKM Leadership and in collaboration with other Global IT departments as needed 
  • Align the EKM Technical Strategy and Roadmap to Global IT strategy under the direction of EKM Leadership through high-level and detailed design documents 
  • Review business context for KM solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution, and recommending potential options, (which may include RFIs, RFPs or prototype development) 
  • Author position papers that document the identification and recommendation of appropriate KM solutions, upgrades, replacements, consolidations, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership 
  • Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates 
  • Define, design, and deliver user-focused knowledge management and knowledge sharing technical solutions, services, and processes, providing detailed specifications for proposed solutions 
  • Ensure integration of KM technical solutions design with the design of related services, platforms, and technologies 
  • Account for project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope 
  • Provide technical troubleshooting for complex issues and drive resolution through internal and external partners 
  • Provide technical leadership to the organization and be a key member of appropriate governance committees and teams 
  • Bring innovation mindset and delivery-based agile approaches 
  • Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives 
  • Strategically influence IT service structure and processes, balancing partner solution directions and Seagen business needs 
  • Build and leverage networks inside and outside the company 
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within IT and across the Seagen organization  

Qualifications: 

  • Detailed knowledge of KM technology platforms and technical solutions architecture including but not limited to M365 in a GxP environment 
  • Experience in system administration, system configuration, and/or system engineering 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects or activities simultaneously 
  • Ability to establish and manage multiple competing priorities and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to work in partnership with others in a consultative, advisory, and collaborative role 
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral, with customer-facing experience 
  • Comfortable briefing leadership/executive level summaries and detailed operational level reviews 
  • Familiarity with emerging privacy regulations preferred 
  • Knowledge of ITSM, ITIL, DevOps and SDLC desirable 
  • Technical certifications with Microsoft systems and/or M365 stack a plus 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education  
  • Minimum of 10 – 12 years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture role 
  • Master’s degree in technical, scientific, information, or management field a plus 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs
