Summary: 

The IT Business Analyst/Sr. IT Business Analyst is a member of the IT Business Application Management team and is responsible for business analysis processes across the development organization including driving business requirement gathering, testing and be a subject matter expert working closely with business stakeholders, IT PMO and System Analysts; acting as subject matter expert where appropriate; and providing ongoing process and enhancement support post-implementation.  Also responsible for building the process mapping for the development business function.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for cross organizations and vendors relationship globally
  • Partner with IT Business partner, System Analyst, PMO, and IT to deliver solutions such as process, technology, or report
  • Lead strategic planning, tactical execution, and operationalization of programs and complex efforts aligned with the portfolio, organization objectives, compliant with regulatory guidelines
  • Active participant in portfolio activities and in the creation business and financial cases
  • Accountable for overall solutions quality and success through development and maintenance of sustainable end-to-end processes, documentation, and adoption targets; supervise implementation teams as needed
  • Author documents and material required to successfully launch and maintain a solution
  • Guide technical & architectural discussion that impacts user experience
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve effectiveness of the team, IT, or business organization
  • Partner with portfolio team to lead across organizations and vendors relationship to drive alignment and delivery of technology solutions for the Development organization
  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery and solution of strategic and tactical efforts
  • Responsible for the quality of outputs and operational processes
  • Good understanding of global regulatory considerations and their impacts processes, approach, and delivery for Development solutions
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and scale processes that aligns with organizational goals
  • Operationalize end to end business processes for a Biotechnology industry
  • Lead Business Analyst in product roadmap, program, and implementation activities
  • Delegate and supervise the work of vendors and contractors to meet business needs while abiding to situational guidelines
  • Facilitate meetings and represents both IT and the business organization in all interactions
  • Evaluates business processes, identifies needs, and develops strategies to maximize opportunities for a specific business function

Qualifications:

  • Graduate with 10+ years or master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in the biotech and/or pharma industry
  • 8+ years in a Business Analyst role with proven experience with technology delivery and process mapping and improvement in Commercial and IT
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of application architecture including various technology flavor and complexity such as Saas solutions, web applications, repositories, relational databases, and reporting
  • Working understanding across one or more business functions including Development, Manufacturing, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, and Procurement
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interface and influence internal and external partners at multiple organization levels
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Ability to proactively plan, organize, deliver with limited oversight, prioritize, and quickly adapt to changing situations
  • Proficient in essential tools such as Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Visio, etc

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s in business and Administration (MBA)
  • Familiarity with biotech/pharma business processes and applications
  • Familiarity with GxP, ICH, and 21CFR, Part 11 regulations
  • Experience in Commercial system tools like Veeva CRM, Salesforce preferred
