The Senior Technical Project Manager will support both the Software Engineering and Integration services teams at SeaGen.  This role will be responsible for helping drive the overall deliverables on the team roadmaps and owning the process for the teams. This includes prioritization of requests, defining technical requirements, strategizing appropriate actions for the technical team, recording, and tracking progress so that they develop solutions that align with the goals of the organization.  In this role, you will assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, work with multiple teams to make trade-off decisions, and balance business needs and technical constraints.  You will be responsible for representing and communicating program status to stakeholders and leadership and your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences that are secure, compliant, and scalable. You should be a believer in servant leadership by ensuring the teams have the resources they need, are shielded from distractions and interruptions, and you will work to remove impediments along the way.  

Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Drive critical initiatives collaborating across multiple technical and business teams to support the growing needs for Integration and Software development 
  • Cultivate strategic and productive partnerships within Seagen IT and the business stakeholder team that result in improved program excellence and stakeholder benefit 
  • Supports the creation of user stories, features, grooming and prioritizing the backlogs on multiple initiatives 
  • Leads regular discussions with key stakeholders and ensures transparent updates, key decision delivery, and risk management 
  • May initiate programs and align teams on planning, business objectives, work structure, and cross-functional support needed for success 
  • Collaborates with leadership and other engineering teams to define solutions with the best approach to deliver value to the stakeholders 
  • Develops reports and dashboards to support data-driven decisions 
  • Defines metrics and key performance indicators, providing regular visibility to program/team status 
  • Anticipates and aggressively removes obstacles (technical or business) that slow down or prevent delivery of goals 
  • Maintains strong partnerships with functional leaders across other technical teams and business partners 
  • Ability to influence without authority, negotiate, inspire, and motivate others 
  • Is a thought leader within the team and organization to support technical/product strategy and direction  


  • 5-7 years of solid experience as a Technical PM, working with diverse software and integration engineering teams 
  • 5+ years of experience in aligning teams with successful delivery based on roadmaps for solutions, ensuring their support and resiliency 
  • 5-7 years of demonstrable experience managing complex projects impacting multiple business units 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • 3-5 years of solid hands-on experience in iterative development methodologies like Agile, Kanban, Scrum, SAFe etc. 
  • Experience using work management tools like Azure Devops, Jira, Aha! Etc. 
  • Experience with data analytic platforms, preferably PowerBI 
  • Knowledge of Integration tools like Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, etc. 
  • Experience in the biotech, pharmaceutical, and/or medical device industry is desirable 
  • Experience with 21 CFR Part 11, SOX, and software validation processes is desirable 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical or scientific discipline OR equivalent experience 
  • Certified Scrum Master or PMP certification is desirable
