Summary:  

 
Under limited supervision this role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining in-house Audio-Visual Systems for Conference Rooms and End Users. Duties include operation and administration, troubleshooting, inventory, installation, and maintenance on various systems including Conference Room AV, Digital Signage, and Zoom Conferencing Software. You will be expected to perform user training and provide user documentation as required, support events and large meeting initiatives as a facilitator or as technical support as needed. Candidate must be able to work with outside vendors for support issues, contracted maintenance or implementation of new systems or upgrades. Provide regular status reports to management. This position will provide training and write SOPs for IT support staff as needed. This is a highly interactive position that requires communication and professionalism with a wide variety of users across our organization. 

 
Responsibilities: 

  • Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain corporate Zoom Portal and accounts. Provide user guides, information, and instruction as required 
  • Assist with the research and implementation of new technologies related to Audio and Video needs of the Company 
  • Coordinate and provide support for critical meetings and events as required 
  • Provide primary IT support and administration for Digital Signage systems 
  • Lead testing and commissioning of new AV systems at Seagen 
  • Maintain a thorough inventory of equipment and supplies 
  • Monitor the repair and replacement of non-working, damaged and/or obsolete equipment 
  • Configure, maintain, troubleshoot and standardize AV equipment 
  • Provide individual and group instruction in Conference room and or Zoom setup and operation 
  • Work with AV vendor(s) as required for support and contract maintenance 
  • Inspect and repair conference rooms for faulty equipment, damage, and cleanliness 
  • Document facility issues and coordinate repairs with Facilities team as required 
  • Create SOP’s as required for equipment use, maintenance and troubleshooting 
  • Read, interpret and maintain room schematics with respect to A/V configurations 

 
Requirements (technical skills, key characteristics, education, etc.): 

  • Experience supporting or maintaining the following technologies: 
    • Modern VTC and AV systems administration experience
    • Windows and Apple based connectivity to AV systems 
  • Project management and documentation skills 
  • Strong oral communication skills 
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Flexible hours for maintenance activities (including evenings and weekends) as required 
  • Positive customer-oriented attitude and professional image 
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Active Directory to manage users and equipment 
  • Troubleshooting of Audio/Visual and Video Conferencing systems 
  • Working knowledge of videoconferencing standards 
  • Ability to support and troubleshoot computing systems connecting to or supporting AV solutions 
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Mac OS 
  • Experience using and troubleshooting online Web presentation services, such as Zoom 
  • Associate degree, plus 5-7 years’ experience supporting conference room audio-visual services and or video conferencing services or systems of equal requirements 

Additional Skills (competencies and desirable capabilities): 

  • AV Industry Certifications (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D) are desired 
  • AV Manufacturer Certifications (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Clear One, QSC, Dante, etc.) are desired 
  • AV Design experience is a plus
