Summary
The Scrum Master will work as part of GAS Scrum team tasked with product increment builds in support of the Matrix Program (IBM Maximo). Additionally, the Scrum Master will use Agile/Scrum principles to ensure the agreed-upon process is being followed. This position will report to the GAS Agile Release Train (ART) Manager.

Responsibilities
• Be a Coach/mentor for the Scrum team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
• Provide leadership and coaching skills to GAS leaderships in their understanding of the Scrum principles and approach.
• Work with the Scrum team to establish and break down a sprint schedule into measurable activities, ensuring dependencies are met.
• Facilitate team meetings, including the daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, Iteration Retrospective, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Assist the Project Manager with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
• Assist the Project Manager in producing team burndowns and other reports on team performance.
• Work with the Product owner in identifying and developing best approach towards better written product goals, sprint goals and best tool for product backlog reviews.
• Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Help the team improve and take responsibility for their actions.
• Facilitate the team retrospective.
• Guide the team in establishing normalized estimates and helps the team understand how to better estimate Features and user stories.

Requirements
o 5+ years of Scrum Master experience
o Certified Scrum Master certification is preferred.
o Experience in coaching and leading of a new scrum team through the different team development stages from Forming through to helping set up a high performing Scrum team.
o Strong understanding of the Scrum principles and ability to help mentor, coach the team as they evolve.
o Must be comfortable being a change agent and lead for all things Scrum across different levels of management.
o Have experience with Lean Agile principles and setting up of Lean within an organization.
o Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Good to Haves
o Experience being a change agent within a medium/large organization.
o Experience of working in establishing Lean approach within an organization
o Other Agile certification as well as Scrum master would be an added advantage.
o GAS Utilities industry experience would be a good advantage but not necessary.
o IBM Maximo implementation experience would be good to have but not necessary.
o Understanding of how to use Zephyr as both the build and User Story tracking tool would be a great advantage.
