What you’ll be doing:
- Oversees the Corporate Accounting, Reporting, and Accounts Payable functions.
- Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Manages and ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
- Manages the preparation of the annual financial statements, related footnote disclosures, and other supporting documentation required, in compliance with US GAAP.
- Manages the preparation and review of quarterly Audit Committee and Lender deliverables; these include: financial statements, various flux analyses, executive level PowerPoint presentations, as well as other required deliverables.
- Advises staff regarding the proper US GAAP accounting of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Performs variance analyses as compared to budget, forecasts, and prior periods as required
- Works in partnership with the outside audit firm to manage all audit-related matters.
- Proactively reviews internal work and business processes with the mindset of identifying and implementing improvements to gain efficiencies within the department.
- Is proficient in conducting in-depth accounting research and producing comprehensive whitepapers summarizing management accounting positions and citing relevant areas of US GAAP.
- Contributes to accounting and integration efforts for M&A activities.
- Establishes and maintains accounting policies and procedures.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by management.
Who/What we are looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Healthcare finance/accounting experience preferred
- CPA designation is required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles is required.
- Profound expertise in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
