What you will be doing:
 
SCP Health aims to position itself in the marketplace as a respected thought leader, and as a true clinical service partner, delivering valuable solutions to each client while remaining the nation's leader in acute patient care as well as connected care solutions. The Director of Business Development will have a critical role in streamlining and optimizing our sales delivery efforts. This role is designed to create capacity for our Vice Presidents of Business Development and sales executives by partnering on the development and execution of assigned deal-related activities. The Director of Business Development will help support the Vice Presidents of Business Development to manage the connected care service line specifically client interactions and build client alignment, deliver client facing solutions, proposals, financial models, and will interface with multiple SCP departments to drive alignment internally. Candidates should have a passion for improving healthcare, showing excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and effectively work with multiple internal stakeholders in a collaborative team-based selling environment.
  • Work with VP's BD on Connected Care deals and accounts
  • Collaborate with VPs to map out deal strategy, and drive prioritization.
  • Facilitate internal coordination to ensure the team can execute on key sales process deliverables and timelines.
  • In partnership with the Vice Presidents of Business Development, help build and maintain trusting relationships with health system clients and prospects and deliver exceptional support and expertise owning key client follow ups, communications, and alignment efforts.
  • Assist with client communications formally and informally via presentations and through excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Work internally and externally to facilitate data requests and gather inputs for financial modelling.
  • Work with finance team to remediate any data deficiencies via communication with clients and/or internal teams.
  • Help drive prep for internal deal committee approval of proposed models.
  • Help facilitate proposal development process, in partnership with the Proposal Manager and VP's, by working collaboratively with clinical, finance and operations teams to develop, review, and finalize proposals.
  • Collaborate closely with VP's key teams throughout the contracting process to assist with negotiating program financial and operational start-up terms with hospital and health system leaders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of SCP's solutions and services and understand financial metrics, sales trends, and market insights. Stay informed about industry regulations, compliance standards, and market dynamics that impact sales strategies.
  • Provide market and voice of the customer feedback to marketing and business development.
 
Who/What we are looking for:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations or similar field or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years of health care sales or relevant relationship development experience
  • Experience selling or managing relationships with healthcare executives, physicians, and other healthcare providers and operators.
  • Thorough understanding of the healthcare industry, and patient engagement market
  • Build trust and confidence with the utmost integrity both internally and externally.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication capabilities.
  • Passionate about serving clients and prospective partners.
  • Outcomes driven.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer programs and typing skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent ability to utilize LinkedIn, Salesforce, and Definitive Healthcare.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to display executive presence.
  • High-energy, results-oriented self-starter with desire to exceed expectations.
  • Team player who can develop and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization.
  • Easily meet new executives and quickly develop relationships - engaging, open, and strong at managing and developing executive networks.
