Summary of Responsibilities:

The Senior Corporate Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; booking journal entries, preparing reports and implementation of consistent standard accounting practices through materials development and training.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepares asset, liability, revenue, expenses and equity account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Perform intercompany transactions and reconciliation of assigned affiliates both domestic and international.
  • Recommends accounting actions by analyzing general ledger transactions and balances.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing and reviewing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Monitor, review, and record all treasury activity including preparation of monthly bank reconciliation for multiple sites.
  • Actively monitor customer accounts receivable balances for multiple locations and research/resolve any identified issues.
  • Collaborate with the collections team to resolve difficult aged AR balances.
  • Drive, create, and implement new processes and strive to identify and implement process improvements to existing procedures.
  • Develop training and reference materials for onboarding and reference purposes.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. Collaborates with Internal and External auditors as requested.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing, updating and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies in GL accounts by collecting and analyzing account information and driving reclass journal entries as needed.
  • Provide financial reporting support to Tax team and assist in tax compliance.
  • Maintains financial integrity by following internal controls.
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and activity.
  • Provides superb customer service to and collaborates successfully with other capabilities and external customers as needed.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, with 3-5 years of experience

Required Skills:

  • Strong foundation in accounting principles
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of internal controls
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General accounting / General ledger experience
  • Solid computer skills, ERP experience required, Oracle preferred, strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Advanced Microsoft skills (focused on Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Blackline experience preferred
