Quality Manager
Description
Position Title: Quality Manager
Location: Brownville & Lowville, NY
Responsibilities:
- Act as a member of Brownville and Lowville site leadership teams, promoting a culture of safety, quality and fostering the Mativ leadership behaviors in support of delivery of site KPIs.
- Ensure the effective implementation of the site Quality Management Systems and compliance with any external certifications, performing audits and conducting routine reviews with Management to manage risks, gaps and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage outturn sampling and Certificate of Analysis (COA) process.
- Provide oversight for product quality processes including raw material quality, WIP inspection, and nonconforming product management.
- Responsible for maintaining product specification documents and setting up new item specifications in the quality management system.
- Responsible for maintaining test equipment and procedures for the laboratory, including calibration and physical standard retention.
- Provide reporting as needed for business updates, new product capability reviews, and trials.
- Responsible for the execution of the customer complaints process, conducting thorough investigations, corrective and preventative actions, and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop a strategic improvement plan to elevate customer satisfaction and drive down the cost of poor quality.
- Participate as a team member of a global quality organization to share, develop and implement best practices in a systematic and scalable manner.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or another technical field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing quality leadership role.
Required Skills:
- Highly motivated and self-directed to enable success in working in a matrix reporting environment.
- Strong problem solving, quantitative, analytical skills. Six Sigma or ASQ Certification a plus.
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Strong skills in various applications including Minitab, Microsoft, and ERP systems
- Strong leadership skills, including change management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation and training skills

Salary range: $85,000-95,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
