JOB DESCRIPTION:
The S&OP Planner is responsible for executing Sales and Operations (S&OP) activities and processes to balance between demand and capacity to ensure product availability and service at the most efficient cost to Mativ.
This role collaborates with multiple functions such as Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to formulate and align demand, supply, and inventory plans for assigned business unit and facilitates all S&OP related process step reviews.
responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor demand forecast in units and dollar amounts. Partner with Commercial and Financial functions to analyze and improve forecast metrics to achieve customer service expectations.
- Partner with manufacturing site leadership and teams to establish and maintain work center level capacity planning assumptions and execute monthly Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) as part of S&OP.
- Execute inventory planning for Make-To-Stock finished goods within systems to meet service and working capital business goals.
- Maintain and communicate business unit S&OP Calendar of activities. Prepare and publish all S&OP process review materials prior to meetings.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and document S&OP process step reviews within assigned Business Unit, including Portfolio, Demand, Supply, Integration, and Executive S&OP.
- Track and drive to completion all actions identified in process step reviews.
- Lead weekly Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) activities for assigned BU.
- Execute weekly and monthly S&OP business metrics reporting and root cause analysis.
- Maintain systems planning master data to drive accuracy of operational plans.
- Leverage systems and business intelligence tools to conduct data analysis and implement process improvements to drive S&OP maturity.
qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- MBA or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Data Analytics or equivalent would be a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning) in a manufactured finished goods environment and/or related supply chain management role including implementation and execution of S&OP related processes.
- IBF or APICS certifications would be a plus.
Technical skills:
- Working knowledge of ERP system(s), including Infor LN, SAP, and/or Oracle.
- Experience using advanced planning systems, including SAP APO/IBP or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence (BI) tools including PowerBI or equivalent.
Required skills:
Business acumen, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships and develop trust with stakeholders. Learns from experience, and proactively seeks out and implements knowledge and best practice in supply chain planning and S&OP.
