We currently have exciting and rare opportunities available for Maintenance Helpers on the day shift at our Minneapolis, MN plant location. 


Job Responsibilities:

1. Safety:
 Communicate to leadership any issues that arise through the functions of maintenance technician using the lock out tag out process as needed
 Make use of all PPE, and insures compliance with all safety rules and
regulations
 Attend safety meetings
 Responsible for maintaining a clean production area and workshop.
 Familiarity with OSHA regulations and be able to recognize and correct any weaknesses

2. Diagnoses and repairs equipment:
 Responds with a sense of urgency to problems within the plant
 Communicates needs or concerns of equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
 Rebuild equipment and assemblies as needed
 Modifies existing equipment as needed

3. Performs Preventive Maintenance tasks:
 Complete required preventive maintenance in a timely manner
 Communicate any problems or concerns that arise within the scope of
completing PM’s of equipment to the appropriate individual for further action.

4. Installation and removable of equipment:
 Complete tasks involved in the installation and/or removal of equipment in an effective and timely manner

5. Performs other assigned duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

 High School diploma or equivalent
 3 to 5 years electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance
 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
 Ability to stand for extended periods of time
 Ability to bend, squat, twist, reach, push, pull and reach above shoulder height                                             All applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, background check and drug screen

Required Competencies:

 Basic math and communication skills
 Read and comprehend English
 Ability to coordinate the activities of the maintenance technician
 Knowledge of basic electricity and machine mechanics
 Ability to work independently and on a team when needed
 Familiar with OSHA regulations and have the ability to recognize and correct any system weaknesses.
 Regular dependable attendance

 Electrical certification
