We currently have an exciting new opportunitiy available for a Tooling & Die Engineering Specialist in our high profile Minneapolis Plant location. 

The tooling specialist is a new position that will allow the individual and SWM to grow and develop a new program to ensure the quality of our processes most important assets. This individual will play an essential role in ensuring successful production runs and the advancement of SWM’s initiative to incorporate technology and data usage into its regular operations. The tooling specialist will have the opportunity to work with and learn from multiple groups on site including production, process and project engineering, maintenance and more.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

-Die Cleaning, Inspection & Repair
-Staging Machine Setups
-Inventory Management
-Basic Machinery Grinding
-Conduct Measurements
-Coordinate Processes With Other SWM Plant Locations
-Purchasing
-Collect & Analyze Data
-Perform Additional Duties As Assigned

Education:      

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two Year Technical School training

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Machinery & Maintenance Skills
  • Experience Working With Digital Microscopes
  • Analytical & Data Collection Skills
  • Quality Focused
  • Extreme Attention To Detail
  • Self-Starter With Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Effective Communicator
