This MDM Data Architect role will be a key leader in our Data team reporting into our BI & Analytics Director. The Architect will work with the business master data and analytics teams to translate business requirements into data strategies, data governance frameworks, data architecture, data integration, and a robust MDM platform. The role collaborates with business/functional data experts, application teams, infrastructure, implementation partners, and the BI team, throughout the process. This role will demonstrate expertise in strategy, design, development, and support of enterprise master data management solutions in a complex multi-ERP environment.

responsibilities:

  • Data Strategy Development - Collaborate with business to understand their business objectives and develop MDM and Data strategies tailored to their needs.

  • Lead the implementation of MDM solutions using the Profisee tool, including data modeling, data integration, data quality, and data governance components.

  • Collaborate with business data teams to establish data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulations and corporate standards.

  • Data Quality Management - Design and implement data quality rules, standards, and processes to monitor and improve data quality within the MDM system.

  • Define data integration strategies and oversee the integration of data from various source systems into the Profisee MDM platform.

  • Develop and maintain master data models, hierarchies, and taxonomies to support Mativ’s MDM objectives.

  • Customize and configure the Profisee tool to meet specific business requirements, including workflows, data matching, and data stewardship.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data stewards, application and BI teams, and external IT resources, to ensure successful MDM implementations.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design documents, data dictionaries, and wikis, to facilitate knowledge transfer and support ongoing maintenance.

  • Provide training to end-users and administrators on the Profisee MDM tool and best practices for data management.

  • Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, data integration, and system performance for the MDM platform.

  • Continuous Improvement - Stay up to date with industry trends, Profisee tool updates, and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements and optimizations to existing MDM solutions.

qualifications:

Required Experience

  • Should have 7+ years of IT experience and 5+ years of experience in MDM architecture, design, development, and support with leading MDM tools.

  • Demonstrated experience inn Data Warehousing, Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Dictionary, Data Mapping, Data Policy, and Data Governance

  • Hands-on experience implementing MDM Solution in Microsoft Azure. Deep knowledge of PROFISEE Product is a MUST.

  • Participated in design of Profisee MDM solutions (Multi-Domain MDM), Data Quality and Data Integration based on customer needs.

  • Gathering functional and technical requirements as inputs into the overall MDM solution design

  • Estimating and planning work for all phases of the software development lifecycle

  • Participating in process and functional design activities, carrying out application design, build, test, and deploy activities for Profisee MDM

  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure Data Management products such as Azure Data Factory for Data Integration

  • Develop / Configure MDM Landing, Staging and Base Objects

  • Deep understanding and experience working on Deduplication / Match & Merge Configuration and Performance Tuning

  • Working knowledge of MDM security implementation on creating user, roles and assigning proper user groups to the roles with Azure Active Directory

  • Develop, test, and deploy MDM, DQ and Data integration solutions in accordance with internal customer’s schedule.

  • Execute test plan and document results; debug solution as required.

  • General understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL tools

Competencies

  • Must have good understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) architectures and business processes. Ability to grasp and explain technical and data concepts and business issues is a requirement.

  • Able to solve problems independently and think creatively,

  • Strong written and oral communication skills are required

  • Must be self-motivated and have strong time management skills.  Assumes ownership and responsibility for assigned actions and/or tasks.

  • Embraces learning agility to keep abreast of new technologies and strategies.
