The Treasury Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day Treasury operations to help meet the organizations financial obligations.  This position performs treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowings, debt, foreign exchange and provides overall support for the Treasury function. As the Treasury Manager, you would have a direct hand in the critical corporate strategy to drive synergies, reducing costs. This day-to-day support and execution will serve to deliver business decisions that will positively affect Mativ’s future growth and transformation activities.

responsibilities:

  • Executes compliance protocols guided by Mativ’s global treasury and cash management policies
  • Management of treasury operations and controls (approve wires, check and ach files, positive pay, stop payments, etc.)
  • Oversees daily cash balances and transfer/settlement of funds
  • Collaborate with banks to resolve issues promptly
  • Prepares cash pooling reporting
  • Manages hedge advice and accompanying receipts/distributions
  • Coordinates and validates debt interest payments and accruals
  • Initiates monthly debt interest rate elections
  • Borrowings/repayments on the bank revolver 
  • Monthly AR Securitization reporting
  • Serve as system administrator for banking, treasury, and payment solutions.  Performs user access audits.   
  • Provides support for cash forecasting, weekly cash reporting, and the monthly treasury close process
  • Opens/closes bank accounts and other services with banking partners and performs bank maintenance functions as needed
  • Maintain and update the master list of all banks and associated account numbers and authorized signers.  Updates signers as needed. 
  • Prepares documents for regulatory requirements, including Know Your Customer compliance requirements
  • Tracks all intercompany loans
  • Supports or participates in operational excellence projects that are focused on simplifying and automating treasury services.  This includes management of bank feeds into local ERP systems.     
  • Ensures compliance to internal control policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local laws
  • Support’s special projects as needed and other duties as assigned
  • Up to 10% travel as needed

 

qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a Treasury or related areas
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Advanced MS Office Skills; Advanced Excel

 

Preferred

  • CTP certification a significant plus
