KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE

Warehouse Assistant Level II is primarily responsible for picking, packing, issuing, receiving and putting away materials from our different customers. Warehouse Assistant Level reports to the Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Remove all debris (garbage)

 

  • Put away empty pallets

 

  • Condense all raw materials (arrange items to fit in the racks)

 

  • Check in-coming merchandize against bill of lading and invoice for accuracy.

 

  • Prepare pallets to be shipped to sterilizer.

 

  • Break down pallets as they return from sterilizer.

 

  • Pick orders, wrap, package and label product.

 

  • Prepare pallets to be shipped to Customers as per Sales Order Pick Lists issued by Supervisor.

 

  • Load and unload trucks.

 

  • Sweep floor.

 

  • Prepare finished goods for shipment to customers on daily basis thru SOP’s and ERP requirements; coordinate and communicate with the customer carrier and suppliers the shipments and deliveries

 

  • Prepare Forklift daily
    • Including completion of the OSHA required Operator’s Daily Report
    • Forklift battery maintenance as needed (weekly)

 

  • Inventory
    • Accurately issue and return raw material quantities (meters/kgs) to production as per the job pick list.
    • Enter all transaction in the ERP computer system. 
    • Inventory maintenance and reconciliation. Ensure that inventory report is accurate.  Assist in weekly cycle counts and month end counts.

 

Adhere to safety regulations, including wearing personal protection equipment (PPE): Steel tipped boots at all times.  All others as instructed thru HSE, SOPs, Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor and Department Manager.

skills/experience/ qualifications:

  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

 

  • Good communication and interaction skills.

 

  • Able to follow written work instructions.

 

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

 

  • Flexibility to work overtime.

 

  • Must be able to speak, write and read English. Bilingual are a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Warehouse role.

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

 

  • Operate forklift and/or material handling equipment in a safe manner.
  • Able to work in a fast paced and very detailed manufacturing environment.

 

 

 

 

Desirable

skills/experience/ qualifications:

  • Spanish as a secondary language preferred.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving machines. Also will perform tasks in high places.
