Mativ in Pittsfield, MA has an exciting new opportunity as a Quality Assurance Supervisor & ISO Administrator!  This position is responsible for providing leadership to the Quality Assurance group at the Pittsfield site, ensuring quality systems, processes, and performance is as planned and issues are evaluated and resolved in accordance with requirements (such as specifications and standards).  The ISO Administrator role is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager with maintaining the quality and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with the standards for continued ISO certification including maintaining documentation and records and utilization of electronic management system databases.  The role works mainly with internal partners, such as operations and R&D, and some external partners, such as suppliers, customers, and ISO registrars.   
  
responsibilities: 
  • Provide leadership and manage direct report Quality Assurance Technicians including training, development, and performance 
  • Recommend areas where to improve quality processes and focus 
  • Accurately evaluate and assess quality issues driving technicians to make informed decisions regarding resolving quality issues for our customers 
  • Perform data analysis regarding product variability and quality processing 
  • Enter customer complaints into Oracle and process and manage customer complaints and corrective action/preventative action process 
  • Manage and maintain ISO Quality Management System 
  • Manage and maintain document control 
  • Specifications and furnish sheets 
  • Create new documents to meet ISO and QMS requirements 
  • Assist other employees in document review and creation 
  • Manage electronic storage of ISO/QMS documents on SharePoint or any other system that will become the company standard (i.e., AssurX) 
  • Assure compliance to ISO/QMS/EMS systems 
  • Maintain ISO certification and calibration service contracts 
  • Primary contact person for third-party registrar 
  • Primary resources to employees and third parties for questions, tech writing, document control, auditing, CAPA 
  • Provide administration of and training on ISO/QMS/EMS & SharePoint (or other company standard system i.e., AssurX) to employees 
  • Participate as team member or leader in continuous improvement projects/events

qualifications: 
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree highly preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years as a quality technician (quality certification a plus) or have worked in a technical manufacturing capacity - papermaking or nonwovens industries preferred 
  • General knowledge of the papermaking process 
  • Knowledge of ISO and other quality programs and internal auditing experience 
  • Knowledge of instruments used in a QA laboratory 
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control; statistical data and mathematical analysis skills 
  • High level of computer literacy (PowerPoint, Excel, Oracle/ERP, GE Proficy Plant Applications); especially data manipulation in spreadsheet and database systems.  Minitab statistical and process management software skills, SharePoint a plus 
  • Continuous Improvement experience (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
