We have an exciting opportunity to join our team, as the Sales Leader, North America reporting into our GM, Scapa. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive sustainable, profitable growth for our North American business by:

  • Responsible for sales revenue and gross margin and report on progress at the monthly management meetings.
  • Lead & develop sales team to achieve business performance targets.
  • Manage sales team engagement activities and results through commercial KPIs (leading and lagging)
  • Own the sales forecast for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and work across multiple departments to balance supply, demand and inventory for North America.
  • Balance new product development with cost reductions, product life cycle management and emerging technology considerations.
  • Develop, agree and monitor annual business plans and targets for commercial team members
  • Develop geographical commercial coverage and sales channels into new customer segments.
  • Drive marketing campaigns and sales programs that improve brand image and deliver sales growth.
  • Attend and coordinate seminars, product demos and other sales activities as required. Prioritize markets and determine market entry strategies for new regions and for new and existing product portfolios.
  • Collect and analyze market data to drive growth and develop markets.
  • Develop an understanding of current and future market trends that may impact sales.
  • Assign sales territories and set and enforce sales goals with commercial team.
  • Establish and enforce pricing and discount policies.
  • Develop an accurate and realistic annual budget plan and monitor performance to budget.
  • Develop and execute monthly and quarterly reports in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts for the upcoming three to six months.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in each territory, while facilitating ongoing product training and support.
  • Provide regular written and oral presentations.
  • Developing and delivering an ongoing, credible pipeline with medium to high probability of success
  • Working across internal functions to improve quality and service levels to our customers.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous management experience; commercial leadership experience
  • Sales experience and/or experience in working with a commercial teams to close new business deals worth 2MM GBP or greater
  • Demonstrated experience in complex/strategic selling (can be internal or external)
  • Demonstrated track record of adding value and business growth
  • Has managed or had significant influence in a 20– 50MM annual turnover business
  • Experience in Tapes/Adhesive industry preferred.

  • Understands, real-time, performance of the segment and proactively articulates accomplishments, risks, gaps, and associated rationale
  • Comfortable handling both tactical and strategic needs of the business on a daily basis.
  • Understanding and demonstrated results in developing and managing forecasts and budgets,
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels and across channels (written, phone, oral)
  • Exceptional analytical skills in understanding, managing, and communicating economic and resource implications for all priorities and decisions
  • A high level of business acumen
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to build and retain solid internal and external relationships
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestic.
