SUMMARY:

As a part of the Vendor Management department, the Vendor Relations Manager will provide support to SCP Health Revenue Cycle Services (RCS) by maintaining a positive and productive relationship with assigned vendors. This position will provide critical analytical insights and administrative support to the four major responsibilities of the Vendor Management department, which include: centralized contract management, strategic sourcing and procurement, performance management, and relationship management. The manager will be responsible for timely, accurate, and actionable reporting to stakeholders and exercise discretion and independent make a judgement call toward conclusions supported by the data being analyzed. It is also expected that this role communicates findings to the appropriate leadership structure in a timely manner since the subject matter of the analysis often times carries a significant financial impact to the company. The associate will lead business stakeholders through the formulation of new policies, procedures, and to better streamline processes and reconciliations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage centralized vendor contract repository and term planning for said contracts
  • Vendor relationship management
  • Vendor process mapping and coordination of onboarding, implementation, and ongoing support of the Vendor and RCS as needed
  • Invoice approval and payment authorization
  • Provide recurring and ad-hoc analytics to leadership for vendor performance and cost tracking
  • Create metrics/scorecards to track vendor performance and expenses
  • Strategic sourcing and procurement of new revenue cycle vendors which includes ROI calculation and vendor qualification
  • Must take ownership of creation and distribution of various reports and reporting needs.
  • Must be able to execute on analysis and recommend outcomes based on interpretation of data.
  • Monitor automated and manual processes to ensure data transmissions timely and error free
  • Perform reconciliations of vendor inventory
  • Oversee daily automated and manual processes to ensure maximum efficiency and identify any areas of opportunity in the process.
  • Provide analytical, technical and account management support to vendor(s).
  • Escalate urgent vendor matters to leadership as necessary
  • Become a subject matter expert for assigned vendors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Proficient use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Windows
  • Highly efficient and organized
  • Familiarity with industry concepts, practices, procedures and regulations

EDUCATION (Required and/or Preferred):

  • BS or BA degree required

FIELD OF STUDY:

  • Healthcare, Accounting, Finance, or MIS

WORK EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years' experience preferred
  • Healthcare knowledge preferred
