The Schneider Geospatial Product Specialist will setup new clients with Schneider Geospatial’s online permit tracking, work order, and asset management SaaS products, working closely with client contacts to ensure a smooth implementation. Setup activities are followed by client training, workflow documentation, and software configuration to ensure the system will successfully meet or exceed the client’s needs.

Following implementation, our Product Specialist provides excellent remote customer service for clients to ensure success with their products.  An ideal candidate will use problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues and provide user guidance related to our software products and related technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Configuration and deployment of SaaS product updates for new and existing clients.
  • Project tracking and status reporting to clients.
  • Respond to client calls and emails in a timely manner.
  • Remotely connect to client machines to assist with support questions, migrations, and testing the installations, etc.
  • Support case tracking, documentation, and status reporting to clients.
  • Leverage Geographic Information System (GIS) and database technologies to deliver innovative solutions to clients.
  • Train clients on how to use their Schneider Geospatial software products.
  • Ability to verbally communicate clearly with client over the phone in the English language.
  • Good communication, enunciation, and grammar skills (in the English language) are highly important.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or Certificate in Computer Science, MIS, Database Administration, GIS, Geography, or a related field; or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • One year of GIS software experience is preferred.
  • Strong desire to successfully and enthusiastically support software that is being used to solve customer problems.
  • Experience with local government (county and municipal) operations, especially pertaining to permitting, infrastructure and asset management, land records, or fleet management services, is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Schneider Geospatial’s software products is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) is a plus.
