Schneider Electric USA is a leading manufacturer of equipment for electrical distribution, industrial control, and automation. We have the following position available in Houston, Texas: Energy Automation project Execution Manager.
What do you get to do in this position?
- Ensure that energy automation projects are executed per agreed technical requirements, and project schedule, within budget while maximizing customer satisfaction from project kick off meeting until project closure.
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal department at Schneider Electric to properly execute the projects.
- Leverage deep technical knowledge in energy automation applications/solutions to guide customers in making the smartest choice for the deployment/enhancements of energy automation systems.
*Note: This is an individual contributor position responsible for planning, initiating, and managing technology projects related to energy automation. This role does not involve people management. Travel up to 10% for project deployment/customer visit.

This job might be for you if:
- This position requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of work experience in implementing energy automation solutions.
- Also must have work experience with:
1.) 2 years Integrating intelligent electronic devices in complex automation architectures;
2.) 2 years Protection engineering (protection functions, protection selectivity);
3.) 2 years Power management system (including generator controls, power sharing/shedding, impact of renewable energies in power system stability);
4.) 2 years Configuring & testing energy automation applications & software such as: Grid Engineering Advisor, EasergyBuilder, IED Configurator;
5.) 2 years Configuring Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, controllers, protection relays and communications equipment;
6.) 2 years Programming automation applications compliant to IEC 61131 such as ISaGRAF and thru the following programming languages: Structured Text, Sequential Function Chart, Function Block Diagrams, Instruction Lists, C, C++, C#, and/or VB;
7.) 2 years Designing, configurating, implementing and troubleshooting IT networks including switches, routers, firewalls and cybersecurity features in accordance with IEC61850, Modbus (serial and TCP/IP), and/or DNP3.0 protocols;
8.) 1 year in management of energy automation projects.
