Our Training Program
At Schnabel, we believe that continuous learning is one of the keys to being successful in both your personal and professional life. This is why we provide our employees with the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities throughout all stages of their career. Some of our internal training events that we feature are as follows:
Engineer Training: Our civil engineers/project managers on both the pre-construction and operations side can attend one of the many in-person and virtual workshops offered by Schnabel that helps expose them to the latest geotechnical methods and technologies.
Equipment Training: Our field team members who operate heavy equipment such as drill rigs, grout plants, and excavators have the opportunity to attend one of the many in-person training sessions hosted by our Schnabel Equipment Division mechanics. Many of the equipment training sessions that we provide allow employees to earn certifications that can help advance their careers.
Foremen Training: Schnabel hosts several in-person Foreman/Superintendent leadership sessions throughout the year for field leaders of all levels. These sessions cover a variety of topics that are relevant to these team members such as leadership, contracts, blueprint reading, safety and much more.
Safety Training: Schnabel's Safety Department hosts over 30 different in-person and online training throughout the year to educate our employees on the latest safety topics. As a result of Schnabel 's emphasis on safety training, more than 150 field leaders have received their OSHA 30 certification.
Mentoring: Schnabel's Engineer Mentorship Program allows participating team members to be paired with senior level Schnabel engineers who have a specific area of expertise. This program allows team members to gain valuable technical and soft skills from the mentor's experience.
