Overview of position:  

As part of the Scaled Agile Partner Development & Enablement (PD&E) team, you will provide leadership for identifying, contracting, onboarding, supporting and growing Agile training and coaching companies providing Lean-Agile services to the US Federal Government organizations using SAFe.

You will provide day to day support to the Federal Partners and advise them in business planning, business development, sales, events and marketing initiatives related to SAFe training, coaching and consulting.

What you will do:

Federal Partner Focus
    • Serve as the focal point for expanding SAFe adoption in the U.S. Federal Government market
    • Federal SAI Partner management, support and enablement as well as agency support within the Partner Development and Enablement team
Partner SAFe Business and Practice Support
    • Support SAI Partners to ensure successful SAFe transformations and course delivery leading to continued renewals
    • Consult with SAI Partners to help them improve their SAFe Federal business development and sales results as well as their customers’ success
    • Support SAI Partners in the sales process and meetings with their customers
Channel Development and Management
    • Apply strong Channel Management skills to further SAI goals of significant growth of SAFe adoption in Federal agencies
    • Recruit and enable SAFe-centric channel partners
    • Identify, sign, and integrate new high quality partners into the SAI Partner network from the Federal services provider community
    • Research Federal Business opportunities websites (example: FedBizOpps.gov) to identify emerging new business opportunities for SAI and SAI Partners
Federal SAFe Community
    • Support the development and growth of the SAFe community of practice within Government agencies and organizations
    • Network through government agencies to expand SAI footprint using SAI resources to help grow SAFe knowledge within the Federal community
Revenue Management
    • Support the revenue goals of PD&E for New Partners and Renewal of Partners and Partner Courseware purchases.

Skills and experience that are important for the role:

We're looking for an experienced Federal channel development professional with a strong and extensive network in the Federal space and experience developing a services business with companies that primarily contract to Federal government agencies. Broad exposure in business development across multiple agencies and departments is required. 

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a partner management, channel management or business development role
  • Experience selling services (particularly training and consulting) through channel partners in the Federal market
  • Proven extensive network across all areas of the Federal market
  • Experience in expanding a thriving start-up organization or small business unit into new markets while remaining tightly aligned with the headquarters support team
  • Passion, integrity and commitment to building a strong partner community
  • Outstanding communication, writing and presentation skills, with the ability to customize key messages for specific target audiences
  • Experience building a community
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, fast learning and collaborative personality with passion, integrity, drive and a positive attitude
  • Utilize a highly collaborative working style
  • Experience working in a SAFe or Lean and Agile environment is important and a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in management consulting and/or sales is a strong plus
  • Experience selling services particularly training and consulting through channel partners in the Federal market is an advantage
  • Bachelor’s or higher academic degree.

Where you’ll be working:

This position is located either in our Boulder, CO HQ or your home office in the D.C. area with travel to the Boulder office as needed.
