Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is looking for a remote, temporary, The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications. This individual is expected to have critical problem-solving skills and be adept at understanding how to use technology to solve business problems and should be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. This individual is expected to have sound project management capabilities to effectively manage tasks, timeline, and expectations to deliver successful products and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed analysis on assigned projects, assess business requirements, recommend potential technology solutions, create functional specifications, and assist with implementation.
  • Lead problem-solving and coordination efforts between various business units and IT.
  • Identify, elicit, and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes.
  • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to defined standards and best practices.
  • Develop technical specifications, diagrams, and process flows for use by programmers and testers.
  • Create process models, workflows, specifications, diagrams, and charts
  • Work with testers to ensure adequate user acceptance tests are captured and performed.
  • Manage multiple assignments, coordinate, and collaborate with multiple team members
  • Report project/assignment status on a regular basis and meet/exceed stakeholders’ expectations
  • Lead and coordinate team effort, manage action items, documentation and communication
  • Develop and track test cases, test scenarios, success criteria, issues and risks

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years working in an Information Technology team
  • Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of ERP, CRM, HCM systems a plus
  • Experience working in projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure a plus
  • CBAP, PMP, SAFe Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma – these certifications are a plus
  • Ability to communicate ideas, both visually and verbally
  • Experience working independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with software development best practices and methodologies (including agile scrum and waterfall)
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project, etc.) as well as in Visio, Lucidchart
  • Proficient in Confluence and Jira
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to quickly grasp business needs and issues and translate into technical specifications
  • Proficient with manipulating large amount of data, apply analysis to find issues and/or trends
  • Experience with process improvement techniques and tools; Lean or Six Sigma preferred
  • Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level
  • Understanding of the major functions in a global organization
  • Experience managing legacy modernization efforts.
  • Experience developing innovative, effective, and efficient solutions, project/program management, and project delivery.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem resolution skills
