Position at SBM Management

SBM Management Services is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Senior Vice President, Aviation Solutions to lead and grow SBM’s aviation vertical — supporting airport facilities, airline operations, MRO environments, cargo hubs, and aerospace-adjacent operations.
 
This executive will position SBM’s reliability, safety culture, regulatory alignment, operational consistency, and technology-enabled transparency as essential differentiators in aviation environments where precision, compliance, and uptime are mission-critical. The SVP will translate SBM’s performance into commercial growth, expand existing aviation accounts, capture new enterprise customers, and elevate SBM’s brand across U.S. and global aviation networks.
 
A core component of this role is establishing the aviation go-to-market strategy, creating commercial playbooks, and building account-based planning (ABP) frameworks for strategic enterprise accounts including major airlines, international airports, FBOs, OEM manufacturing centers, and major aerospace partners.
 
The SVP will collaborate with IFM partners (CBRE, JLL) and engage directly with airport executives, engineering leaders, airline operations teams, safety and regulatory leaders, quality organizations, maintenance leadership, and procurement teams to position SBM as an essential partner for compliant, reliable, safe, and efficient operations
 
Roles & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Lead the aviation vertical go-to-market strategy including segmentation, value propositioning, competitive differentiation, and target account prioritization.
  • Develop scalable commercial playbooks covering prospecting, ABP, renewals, pricing, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Drive account-based planning (ABP) for major enterprise aviation partners, aligning SBM’s capabilities with industry regulatory requirements and operational roadmaps.
  • Expand the aviation vertical through direct enterprise pursuits, while supporting IFM-enabled growth with strategic partners.
  • Translate operational aviation metrics — safety, compliance, throughput, and performance — into compelling commercial narratives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop aviation-specific collateral, pursuit materials, case studies, and thought leadership.
  • Convert operational and regulatory data into insight-driven customer value stories demonstrating compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and scale the aviation commercial talent strategy based on pipeline maturity and revenue thresholds.
  • Champion digital, safety, and operational innovations relevant to aviation environments, including real-time visibility, predictive performance, and compliance technologies.
  • Support global aviation pursuits in Europe, APAC, and Latin America.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of leadership experience within aviation, aerospace, airport operations, airline operations, MRO facilities, or enterprise account leadership in aviation-aligned industries.
  • Experience within regulated, safety-critical, or high-security aviation environments strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks including FAA, TSA, OSHA, and airport operational standards.
  • Proven success designing go-to-market strategies, building commercial playbooks, and driving enterprise growth in high-compliance aviation environments.
  • Strong expertise in risk mitigation, safety management systems (SMS), workforce reliability, and throughput optimization within aviation facilities.
  • Ability to convert aviation operational data into compelling commercial insights.
  • Exceptional executive communication and enterprise customer engagement skills.
