SVP, Automotive Solutions
Description
SBM Management Services is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Vice President, Automotive Solutions to lead and grow SBM’s automotive and mobility vertical — supporting OEM manufacturing plants, EV production lines, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, advanced manufacturing facilities, robotics-intensive environments, and large-scale industrial campuses.
This leader will position SBM’s precision operations, safety culture, data transparency, continuous improvement, and technology-enabled execution as core differentiators in automotive and EV manufacturing environments where reliability, throughput, uptime, and quality are non-negotiable. Working closely with SBM’s operational leaders across OEMs, component manufacturers, EV plants, and high-volume production operations, the SVP will translate operational excellence into commercial growth, expand existing enterprise accounts, capture new vertical opportunities, and elevate SBM’s brand across the automotive sector.
A core component of this role is building the vertical’s go-to-market strategy, creating scalable commercial playbooks, and establishing account-based planning (ABP) frameworks for automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, Tier suppliers, and strategic industrial partners.
This role will collaborate closely with IFM organizations (CBRE, JLL) and work directly with plant managers, engineering teams, quality organizations, EHS leadership, continuous improvement teams, industrial engineers, procurement executives, and manufacturing leadership to position SBM as an essential partner for throughput reliability, safety, efficiency, and modernization.
Roles & Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Own the Automotive vertical go-to-market strategy including segmentation, value propositioning, competitor differentiation, and account prioritization.
- Build scalable commercial playbooks covering prospecting, OEM/Tier expansion, renewals, pricing strategy, and customer lifecycle management.
- Lead account-based planning (ABP) for major automotive and EV enterprise customers, aligning SBM’s value with customer production roadmaps, plant expansions, retooling, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Expand the vertical through direct enterprise pursuits while strengthening IFM-aligned growth with CBRE, JLL, and other strategic partners.
- Convert automotive operational performance — safety, uptime, predictive maintenance, throughput, quality metrics — into compelling commercial narratives.
- Partner with Marketing to build automotive-specific collateral, pursuit materials, case studies, and thought leadership.
- Translate production, safety, and efficiency data into insight-driven customer stories that highlight measurable ROI and operational value.
- Build the vertical talent strategy, including scaling technical/commercial capacity based on pipeline demands and revenue horizon.
- Drive innovation through adoption of automation support, robotics-adjacent services, IoT visibility tools, condition monitoring, and Industry 4.0-aligned operational technologies.
- Coordinate global automotive pursuits in Europe, APAC, and Latin America to support multinational OEM and Tier suppliers.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership in automotive manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, EV production, or enterprise account leadership supporting large-scale industrial operations.
- Experience working in high-volume, robotics-intensive, quality-critical manufacturing plants preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deep understanding of automotive manufacturing operations including lean production, Six Sigma, throughput optimization, robotics integration, and quality management systems.
- Proven success designing go-to-market strategies, building commercial playbooks, and driving enterprise growth in manufacturing and industrial environments.
- Ability to translate complex production, safety, and engineering data into concise, compelling commercial insights for OEM and Tier leaders.
